The Wailers Announce UK Legend Tour
The Wailers don’t really need any introduction, formed by Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Bunny Livingston in 1969 they soon became the most well known reggae band on the planet. With a raft of great albums and singles behind them, it is not surprising they are most peoples symbol of reggae.
This Autumn the latest incarnation of the band come to the UK to play a series of dates which will showcase the whole of the Legend album, together with selected tracks from Exodus. Led by original bassist Aston ‘Family Man’ Barrett they continue to carry the flag of peace, love and equality through the power of reggae and Rastafari. On his time time with The Wailers Barrett said: “My life with The Wailers has been an odyssey. To be in the top ten is hard for me to even imagine. We’ve come so far. Sharing this music with so many people around the world was my last promise to Bob and here we are.”
Being too young to see Bob Marley in action, I can’t wait to see them at the Norwich date and hear live versions of Waiting in Vain and Satisfy My Soul, surely two of the most beautiful songs ever written.
